NEW GPS MEANS HYPER ACCURATE VIRTUAL REALITY

As anyone who has ever missed a freeway exit while relying on navigation software can tell you, even at its best GPS is something of a guess. With a margin of error of around a few feet, GPS is can be decent enough for guiding cars on roads, but the wide range limits GPS to environments where a few feet of difference isn’t a huge deal. A new, hyper-accurate system, developed by researchers at the University of Texas at Austin, can upgrade GPS accuracy from a few feet to a few inches.

The Fit bit Charge HR is an activity-and-sleep tracker that has a built-in heart-rate sensor and a feature commonly found on smartwatches: It alerts you when you're getting an incoming phone call. The device also has a stopwatch feature for timing runs and other workouts, and sells for about $150 on the Fitbit website, or Amazon. That's about the same price as other fitness trackers that also do continuous heart-rate monitoring, such as the $150 Mio Fuse and the $130 Adidas miCoach Fit Smart.

An Iphone for people that hate apple

The curved aluminum edges, the placement of the volume and on/off buttons, the bumped-out rear camera and pretty much everything else about the Galaxy S6 is the same as the iPhone 6 -- right down to the fingerprint-sensor home button.Though it's undeniably better than previous Galaxy S phones, there's nothing terribly original about the S6's design either. All smartphones kind of look like one another these days.

3-D Printers allow you to create live objects by using images offline or ideas you may have. Using a 3-D printer you can make whatever you decided. Such as models of a park or stadium, or even a model of a building. The printer might cost up to 1,400 dollars, but its worth it because you can make your ideas come to life.

Web 2.0: Multimedia Blog Pre-Posting

One class I took this year that I like, would be English I. My teacher for English I is Ms.Hunter. This year I expected to learn how to read and write better. I also expected to learn and build my vocabulary.Which we have learned a lot already.

This year we have read multiple short stories. We also have been working on Wordly Wise. Some short stories we have been working on are "Scarlet Ibis", "I had a dream", "The Necklace", and "The Most Dangerous Game".Her grading policy is not to difficult considering it is, 40 % formal assignments, 10% homework, 40 % performance based assignments and 10% informal assignments.My interesting aspect of the class would be learning vocabulary and writing stories.

The way we use technology in Ms.Hunters class is by going on the chrome books.On the chrome books we write stories. We also go online to look and practice park testing. You can also go on her website which explains everything about her class.

Educational Technology and Copyright Law

The Educational Technology and Copyright Law thought me that:

  • That once you make anything its automatically copy righted.
  • It also told us about the 4 exclusive rights
  1. Reproduce the copyrighted work;
  2. Display the copyrighted work publicly;
  3. Prepare derivative works based on the copyrighted work; and
  4. Distribute copies of the copyrighted work to the public by sale, rental or lending, and/or to display the image
  • I also learned that learned that your images have to be licensed on some occasions.

Welcome Post

Welcome to my blog!
My name is Gabriella Mendez, and I am a freshman at Wood-Ridge Jr.SR High School. I like to cheer for football, competition cheering and eat food. My favorite food is pasta with sauce, but I eat a lot more than that. I enjoy cheering because its a great way to get in exercise. I don't like to do noticias for Spanish, I do not like the color orange or when people drag their feet and I really do not like when people are overly loud.I spend most of my time at cheering with my friends, but when I am not at cheering I  spend time with my family. My college plan is to go to college in florida and then become a lawyer or someone that studies medicine.
